Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

About the Role

  • Provide compassionate, person-centered individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families.

  • Complete clinical assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing evaluation of client needs.

  • Provide trauma-informed, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented care.

  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including LCSWs, LCPCs, QMHPs, MHPs, RSAs, CRSSs, CPRSs, PSWs, and other behavioral health professionals.

  • Coordinate care with families, schools, healthcare providers, hospitals, and community partners.

  • Provide clinical consultation, guidance, and supervision when qualified and assigned.

  • Assist with crisis assessment, intervention, safety planning, and connection to appropriate resources.

  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation while meeting professional, ethical, payer, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide services in a variety of settings, which may include our clinic, schools, homes, and community locations.

  • Have opportunities to participate in the continued development and expansion of Timber View Wellness Center programs and services.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.

  • Current and unrestricted Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license.

  • Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-informed therapeutic interventions.

  • Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centered approaches to behavioral healthcare.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality, professional ethics, and applicable behavioral health requirements.

  • Ability to successfully complete required employment screenings and background checks.

  • Experience in community behavioral health, Medicaid services, children and families, trauma, crisis intervention, or clinical supervision is preferred.

Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)

Services may be provided in a variety of settings, including the Timber View Wellness Center clinic, schools, homes, community locations, and other approved settings based upon client and program needs.

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications generally include an appropriate Master's-level education or other qualifying professional credentials in a behavioral health discipline and the education, training, and experience necessary to provide services within the QMHP scope.

Qualifying disciplines may include:

  • Social Work

  • Counseling

  • Psychology

  • Marriage and Family Therapy

  • Psychiatric or behavioral health nursing

  • Other qualifying behavioral health disciplines recognized under applicable Illinois requirements

QMHPs may have additional responsibilities based upon their credentials, experience, program assignment, and scope of practice, including:

  • Completing or contributing to behavioral health assessments.

  • Assisting with development and review of individualized treatment plans.

  • Providing clinical consultation and guidance to team members.

  • Reviewing client progress and recommending changes in services.

  • Participating in crisis assessment and intervention.

  • Coordinating complex behavioral health services.

  • Providing supervision or oversight when permitted by applicable regulations and professional qualifications.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable behavioral health regulations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to complete accurate and timely documentation.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary behavioral health team.

  • Reliable transportation may be required for community-based positions.

Rehabilitative Services Associate (RSA)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide recovery support services such as skill-building, mentoring, goal setting, and support with daily living activities.

  • Help youth and families implement strategies identified in their individualized treatment plans.

  • Support engagement and retention in services by building trusting relationships with clients.

  • Assist families with navigating systems (healthcare, education, juvenile justice, etc.) and accessing community resources.

  • Collaborate with behavioral health teams to coordinate care and share client progress.

  • Model healthy coping skills, boundaries, and relationship-building.

  • Complete service documentation, progress notes, and time logs in compliance with agency and Medicaid requirements.

  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and required trainings.

  • Uphold trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered care practices.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred.

  • Experience working with youth and families with behavioral health challenges strongly preferred.

  • Ability to connect with clients through empathy, lived experience, or strong interpersonal skills.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to clients’ homes and community locations.

  • Basic computer and documentation skills required.

  • Ability to pass required background checks and complete agency and state training requirements.

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery principles.
